| Laser Tattoo Removal Started |
[Sep. 1st, 2007|03:32 pm] |
I've been very busy with work and upcomming modeling projects, and alot of things are changing for the better. A few of my friends are upset and I know more will be when they read this.
I just started laser tattoo removal of the Bride of Frankenstein piece on my arm. I'm tired of putting on a nice dress and the very first thing I see is the tattoo. It gets in the way of too many things, I should have put it somewhere more concealable.
The treatments are going to take some time. I am being treated wtih a new laser that will not leave any scars and will eliminate 95% of the ink. I will continue to post photos of my progress. My treatment intervals are every 6 weeks and I will need 6-8.
Here is one last photo taken right before my treatment:

| Dahlia meets Paul Reubens Pee Wee Herman...... |
[Feb. 17th, 2007|03:56 pm] |
So here is a real short update: new car, new puppy, and I finally had one of my dreams come true....meeting Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman.
I know I haven't updated in a while, but I have been extremely busy working full time and going to school as a full time student. There are not enough hours in the day to compensate for my lack of sleep, homework and taking care of other things on my to do list.

Well my dream meeting has finally come true!! The moment I have been waiting for since I was 4 years old.
I met Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman. Anyone that knows me personally is well aware that I am the biggest Paul Reubens fan ever. I have followed all of his work, including the work of his co-stars and friends such as Cassandra Peterson "Elvira" and Lynn Stewart aka Miss Yvonne.
I had Paul sign my movie poster and talking Pee Wee Herman dolls. I also met the beautiful Lynn Stewart aka Miss Yvonne.
Mr. Reubens has been a great inspiration to the person that I am as well as my work. He is definetly someone I look up to and a huge icon to me. Growing up watching Pee Wee Herman and Elvira has had a tremendous influential impact on me, and they will always be big in my heart!
Special thanks again to Paul Reubens and Lynn Stewart for making my dream come true. I love you!!

So I am breaking my lease and moving as I no longer feel safe, such a shame as this was a very nice apt. complex and community. But I'm staying in the same city here in Fullerton! I had to cancel all my credit cards, change my bank account # and ask the Credit Bureau to put a flag on my SSN. I would love to catch the piece of shit that broke into my car and rip his testicles from the socket. What also sucks is that I can't listen to Howard Stern anymore on the way home from work in traffic, but I can still listen online with my account.
On a better note: I will be very exhausted throughout October from working my normal job and working ast the Fright Mistress once again at the Queen Mary Shipwreck Halloween Haunt Terror Fest 2006

We went to the Collectors show and Auction again and it was great! Many cool actors there. We saw Gary Busey but I was too scared to say hi to him as you never know what to expect from that guy. =) But we did get to meet Verne Troyer "Mini-Me" and the parents from one of my favorite 80's TV Show "Small Wonder" with Vicki The Robot. They were so nice in person and it was kinda hard to believe that I got to meet them considering "Small Wonder" was such an obscure show. We also met Captain Lou Albano, The Iron Sheik and a bunch of other 80's wrestlers.

Verne Troyer was pretty cool. Chatted with him for a bit. Talked tattoos, video games, and stuff. I asked him to tell one of my close friends Ryan (who is also a 3 ft tall little person) to hit the streets. And he did! =) ha ha ha Click here to see the footage from the show: http://dahliadark.multiply.com/video/item/9
Yesterday I gained another year closer to death. That is how I refer to my Birthday. =) So Unhappy Birthday to me. LOL!!! |

We would have gave the tickets to someone else but didn't know we were not going until 8:00pm when our friend called. Oh well, I can live without seeing them this time. =) But if it was Bauhaus or Siouxsie that would be a different story. LOL! |

Had a great time at a memorabilia show in Burbank. We met many interesting actors. My main motive for attending was to meet actor George Chakiris. George won an Oscar for best supporting actor in "West Side Story" playing the role of "Bernardo".
He also starred in one of our fav vampire films "Pale Blood" portraying the part of Michael Fury.
This rare film also featured the band Agent Orange. I brought our "Pale Blood" movie poster so George Chakiris could sign it. Not only was he happy and stunned while signing my poster, he was flattered that someone actually remembered him for something other than "West Side Story". I told him how I had been searching for his whereabouts and thanks to Google was able to track him down.

Aside from expressing my appreciation for his work I also told George that he has an amazing voice, alluring hypnotizing eyes and played the role of a vampire quite well. I was glad he was able to chat with us, as being able to have met him meant the world to me. =) He was a hearthrob then and he still looked fantastic today. His reaction to my appreciation for his work and bringing the "Pale Blood" poster for his signature really warmed my heart, as this was exactly how I hoped he would be. He was extremely nice, approachable and affectionate. George Chakiris is a legend and I hope to meet him again someday.
We also got to meet Michael Madsen, best known for "Mr. Blonde" in "Resevoir Dogs" "Budd" in Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, and Bob in "Sin City". He was really cool and admired Steve's tattoos. It was interesting to hear that rugged voice in person, he is quite a character. He posed for a photo with me and made Steve re-take it because he thought he made a goofy face. =)

Sitting shotgun next to Michael Madsen was Dean Stockwell. Dean Stockwell was in "Blue Velvet" as "Ben" and in "Married to the Mob" as "Tony the Tiger Russo" and "Quantum Leap".
Good thing we brought our German print "Blue Velvet" poster. Steve had him sign the poster to us and write an infamous quote from "Blue Velvet" that read : TO STEVE & DESIREE, HERE'S TO YOUR FUCK! LOL!!! Classic isn't it. =) He and his wife giggled when Steve asked him to sign the quote but Dean happily signed our poster. Dean also posed for a photo with me. Nice man. =)

We also met Lou Ferrigno best known as "The Incredible Hulk" himself and posed for photos with him. He was nice and let me examine his gigantic biceps. LOL

Oddly we ended up bumping into pornstar Ron Jeremy, king of all adult films. Ron was very friendly and we talked for a good 10 min discussing mutual friends in the adult entertainment industry.

Ron showed us a copy of Michael Madsen's book he signed to Ron, in which he wrote" To Ron Jeremy, Go Fuck Yourself!" LOL Took some funny video footage with Ron, where he tells my boyfriend Steve that he envies him. LOL!! Afterwards, Steve made a comment that Ron smelled like he just got off the set of an adult film. This was true. LOL
It was great to meet actor Frank Sivero from one of my favorite gangster films "Goodfellas", he played the role of gangster "Franky Carbone" in Goodfellas and "Genco Abbandando" in "The Godfather II".
He was also in "The Wedding Singer" as Andy. Frank Sivero was very approachable and talkative. The first thing I said to him was "I thought you were frozen in a meat freezer?!?" (Goodfellas scene) he laughed.

We chatted for a bit and he was generous and gave us a call sheet from "Goodfellas". I told him he makes a great gangster and he said he was looking for better gangster roles as lately he has been offered parts that were slightly cheesy. I look forward to seeing more of his work.
Many other actors were around such as Barry Williams, "Greg" from "The Brady Bunch" . The entire cast of the original Batman series was there including Adam West, Burt Ward, Julie Newmar, Yvonne Craig, My boy had Adam West "Batman" sign a photo for his father, he was very talkative and told Steve and I that we are a "good-looking couple" and asked us what we do at night.LOL Nice man.
Unfortunately I missed out on a photo with Julie Newmar but she looked amazing for her age, I hope I will age that gracefully. =)

| GOT MY XBOX 360...My Baby Macaw..."Walk The Line" |
[Nov. 22nd, 2005|08:23 pm] |
I went to hell and came back, all to get my XBOX 360 on its debut night!

Last night I drove to 5 different stores in 5 different cities within a 56 mile radius. There was anywhere between 20-80 people waiting in line till store openings, in tents, blankets and lawn chairs. It looked like some type of Star Wars movie premiere. After giving up in other cities, I waited 4 hours at Costco with my boyfriend, from 1:00am till 5:00am just to be told that I couldn't get a Costco membership to purchase an XBOX. The manager was a total C U Next Tuesday to me. At this point I was desperate and suddenly remembered that I had a Sam's Club membership. So I had to leave Steve behind, since he has a Costco membership and all stores had a limit of 1 Xbox per customer.
I figured if I drove to the GHETTO somewhere there wouldn't be as many people in line to afford the Xbox 360 Platinum at over $480. Sure enough, I got lucky and ended up at the Sam's Club in Stanton on Beach Blvd & Lampson. They were giving 20 tickets as they only had 20 xbox's avail. I got ticket number 15 and waited in the cold for almost another 3 hours with a blanket wrapped around me anxious to get my Xbox. Some late-commer soccer moms were offering $250 just for a ticket and 2 people actually sold theirs. But I didn't care I wasn't giving my ticket up for no amount of money, as I went through so much shit that night just to be lucky to where I was standing at that point. It was 20 minutes till store opening, I found out that Sam's club was only opening at 7:00am to BUSINESS MEMBERSHIPS ONLY, and I had just a basic membership.
I began to panic but I still stood in line since I had a ticket. By the time I was next in line I started crying, because I was really scared that I would be turned away and not get my Xbox since I did not have a BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP. The nice guy standing behind me told me to calm down and not to worry. Once I got my xbox I was shaking and I was crying joy and I ran to my car as fast as I could. I had went through so much shit last night from 9:00pm till about 7:24am. I guess you could call it a blood, sweat and tears xbox. LOL!!
I know people think I am a pathetic nerd for doing this but I have been a gamer girl since Nintendo first came out. Microsoft didn't make enough 360 Platinum's and the next shipment isn't until Febuary. I can't wait that long!!!! Steve didn't get his until 10:00am, and thats because Costo sucks. The pic is of me holding both our xbox's. (yes we would kill each other if we didn't have our own LOL)
On a less stressful note, this is our new 3 month old baby Scarlet Macaw. Got him a week ago. His name is Poncho and we are hand feeding him from a bottle syringe twice daily.

Saw "WALK THE LINE" on Saturday and it was really good. I was a bit worried that the Hollywood film industry would mess up Johnny Cash's life story (as they usually do in bios). But Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did an outstanding job. I was raised on Johnny Cash by my dad since I was a little girl. I was lucky enough to have seen him once before he died, with my father at a concert in the early 90's. My dad performs alot of his songs so I guess you can say my dad really reminds me of him. Kinda looks like him too except my dad is bald.

Working at the Queen Mary Shipwreck as the Fright Mistress was fun. It worked out well considering I received a phone call less than 24 hours before the event. Even though I did not know what the hell I was doing everything fell into place. ANd I am glad they let me have the night off to see Bauhaus (will post on Bauhaus show on another entry)
They provided me with my own escort and security guards, hairstylist, and a hotel room and room service. It was nice having everything done and taken care of for me, it felt like royalty in a way. I was also paid very well for each night.
As the Fright Mistress I was the hostess of the event. I had my own private lair in which I posed for framed photos for sale. Then I would go to the Boiler room and announce the band "Stolen Babies". And then return to my lair for more photos. My lair was a cool castle-like studio with a couch, cam & lights and spooky interior. It was kinda exhausting wearing heels, a corset, and full makeup each night.
However I did not spend a single night in my hotel room and I only used it for a dressing room. I didn't stay because I am only 10 minutes away. But mainly because that ship is seriously haunted, and I thought I saw images in the mirror on one night and constantly felt a presence around me while I was alone. Don't get me wrong I love horror films, monsters, etc. But when the paranormal becomes a reality when I am ALONE in a room, it is not something I handle too well. =P
The only thing I didn't like was having to hear comments from people. Shipwreck told me it was expected to hear dirty things from guys, but the majority of the comments came from girls. It was hard having to sit there and not say or do anything back and let my security guards handle the situation, since I am a "take shit from no one" type of girl.
Here are some things I heard the most from people (mainly girls).'
1. "Are those real?" 2. "Awesome Rack!!" 3. "Those are some big ass titties!" 4. "Can I touch your boobs?" 5. "Are those your real eyes?" 6. "Can I take you home?" 7. "Your beautiful can I have your number?" 8." How much for a lapdance??"
However at times I did slip a few words back at the real jerks & pervs. LOL Here are some of my replies at times:
1. "You must have a small weenie." 2. "Don't hate me cause you ain't me" 3. "Is that your face or did your neck throw up?" 4. "My number is 789-Better-Luck-Next-Time
I also received tips and was asked to sign a few photos, which was unexpected. And I did get to meet some VIP's like sexy Playboy Playmates from the E! show "Girls Next Door" http://www.playboy.com/arts-entertainment/features/girlsnextdoor/ and Sharon Osborn's brother (I don't know his name LOL) and others.
My security and escort were pretty cool guys. We had alot of interesting conversations about gaming, Halo 2, music, etc.
